Sunset at the Palms offers 85 treehouse-style, elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites set across 10 acres of lush landscaping – a design praised by Architectural Digest.

All 85 rooms are located in the gardens of the resort with tropical garden views.

Superior Treetop rooms border the road separating the gardens from the beach property. Deluxe Treetop rooms are located further into the gardens and along the Royal Palm Preserve. The rooms and all amenities are identical. All Treetop rooms accommodate a maximum of two adults. Our treehouse-style rooms are designed for two guests and are unable to accommodate rollaway beds.

Sunset at the Palms offers 3 One-Bedroom Treetop Suites. These two-level suites feature a lounge with two daybeds, TV, large veranda and a full bathroom on the ground floor. The second level, accessed by a staircase of approximately 12 steps, offers a master bedroom with a king-size bed, TV, desk, large balcony and a second full bathroom. One-Bedroom Treetop Suites accommodate a maximum of 4 adults.

While the resort cannot guarantee requests, we try our very best to accommodate all special room requests.

Most rooms feature king-size beds. We have a very limited number of rooms with two double beds. Please request this bedding type as soon as your reservation is confirmed and we will do our best to accommodate.

Our Standard and Deluxe treehouse accommodations are approximately 8 feet above ground and accessed by a staircase of 10-12 steps. Our One-Bedroom Treetop Suites have four steps at entry and a staircase of 12 steps leading to the second-floor master bedroom.

Sunset at the Palms is an ADULTS-ONLY resort.

Sunset at the Palms accepts adult guests aged 18 and above.

Sunset at the Palms is a treehouse-style resort. Our accommodations are elevated approximately 8 feet above ground and accessed by staircases of 10-12 steps. The resort does not offer wheelchair accessible or mobility-impaired accommodations. Standard check-in time is 3:00pm. Should your room be ready earlier, you are welcome to check in at no extra charge. Check-out is at 11:00am. Late check-out is available at a nominal fee subject to availability. Guests are welcome to enjoy all resort facilities after check-out to accommodate evening flights.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms and most public areas throughout the resort.

All guests are assigned a Personal Sunset Concierge upon check-in – your go-to person for dinner reservations, special occasion arrangements, excursion bookings and any assistance you may need during your stay.

In keeping with the laid-back vibe of Sunset at the Palms, our evening entertainment is relaxed and intimate. In our Irie Martini Bar, Paul – our beloved piano man; serenades guests with a wonderful variety of favourites and encourages sing-alongs several evenings a week. Other evenings feature live reggae band performances.

For guests seeking more lively late-night entertainment, Margaritaville and other nearby nightclubs are just a short distance away.

The resort features 5 restaurants and 3 bars.

Room service is available daily from 7:00am to 9:00pm. Menu selections are based on that day’s Palm Grove Buffet offerings and can be obtained by calling your Personal Concierge. Room service food is included in the all-inclusive package however a USD $15.00 delivery charge applies.

Light sandwiches and desserts are available until 1:00am for guests who fancy a late night bite.

Sunset at the Palms offers complimentary round-trip airport transfers to and from Sangster International Airport (MBJ) for guests staying a minimum of 5 nights (arrivals April 4–October 29) or 6 nights (all other arrival dates), subject to the following:

• Flight arrival details must be provided to the Reservations team no later than 60 days prior to arrival
• Details can be submitted by emailing sprreservations@sunsetresortsjm.com
• Guests who have not provided flight details by the 60-day deadline may book transfers at an additional charge via our shop page or by contacting Reservations directly

Yes we do! At Sunset at the Palms, there are stunning wedding venues for every taste including Private Beach, Tropical Gardens and Garden Gazebo. Whether it’s a romantic, private ceremony for the two of you or you want to celebrate with friends and family, we can accommodate groups of most sizes. Our Wedding Concierge will work with you to curate the perfect wedding, starting with finding the perfect setting for you to start your new life together. Select from a range of Wedding Ceremony Packages including minister’s fee, bridal bouquet, groom’s boutonniere, sparkling wine and wedding cake. Sun Protection
We recommend packing a good sunscreen – reef-safe where possible.

Insect Repellent
While our resort participates in regular mosquito fogging as part of Jamaica’s public health programme, we recommend packing insect repellent particularly for evenings spent outdoors.

Flotation Devices
There is no guarantee of availability of inflatable flotation devices at the resort. Guests who wish to use one during their stay are encouraged to bring their own. Guests are welcome to leave theirs behind at the end of their stay for other guests to enjoy.

Casual resort attire including shorts and sundresses is recommended throughout the resort. Cover-ups are required for daytime dining.

For the Lotus Leaf Restaurant and Chef’s Showcase dining experiences, elegant resort attire is required: shirts and dressy shorts or pants for gentlemen, and sundresses or dressy pant outfits for ladies.

Sunset at the Palms does have a small gift shop in the lobby area offering snacks, sunscreen, insect repellant and other toiletries, as well as a variety of clothing.

There is no ATM located at Sunset at the Palms. The nearest ATM is a short cab ride away and your Personal Concierge can arrange transportation at any time.

US Dollars are widely accepted everywhere in Jamaica; at the resort, shops, restaurants and attractions, so currency exchange is not necessary for most guests. Our cashier is available on property to make change to smaller denominations if you need it.

Sunset at the Palms is a fully non-smoking resort. All 85 guest rooms and balconies are strictly non-smoking. Smoking is permitted only in our designated smoking area on property. Marijuana is not permitted anywhere on the property including the designated smoking area.

Resort Policy: Rooms found to have evidence of smoking or vaping – whether reported by other guests, detected by resort staff, or identified during housekeeping – will be subject to a USD $1,000.00 cleaning fee, in addition to any penalties applicable under Jamaican law.

Jamaica’s Smoking Laws: Under Jamaica’s Public Health (Tobacco Control) Regulations 2013, smoking is prohibited in all enclosed public spaces, workplaces, government buildings, health facilities, educational institutions, sports and recreational facilities, areas designated for children, bus stops and transport terminals, and within five metres of any entrance, exit, window or ventilation intake of a public place.

Individual penalties:

• First offence: up to JMD $10,000
• Second offence: up to JMD $25,000
• Subsequent offences: up to JMD $50,000
• Businesses in breach may be fined up to JMD $1,000,000.

Marijuana/Ganja: Public smoking of marijuana remains prohibited under Jamaican law. Sunset at the Palms is not licensed for ganja smoking and it is not permitted anywhere on the property.
